The issue of a 1A security licence for a General Patrol guard in the ACT, requires the completion of the seven (7) core units and any five (5) electives from the Certificate II in Security Operations
- seven (7) core units from Certificate II
- five (5) specific elective units are chosen to achieve different security licences in the ACT
Patrol Guard licence 1A / Bodyguard licence 1B / Crowd Controller licence 1C / Monitoring Centre Operator licence 1E
By completing the 12 units we have listed from the Certificate II in Security Operations, participants doing our course will be able to apply for a 1A, 1B, 1C and 1E security licence in the ACT.
For a 1B licence: to act as a Bodyguard, two (2) specific units MUST be included in the choice of units for your Certificate II in security operations.
For a 1C licence: to act as a Crowd Controller, two (2) specific units MUST be included in the choice of units for your Certificate II in security operations.
For a 1E licence: to act as a Monitoring centre operator, one (1) specific unit MUST be included in the choice of units for your Certificate II in security operations.
