Human Resource Training meets with (BOCOG) Beijing Organising Committee for the Olympic Games

In January 2005 HR training visited Beijing China to meet with two members of the Beijing Organising Committee for the Olympic Games. Many organisations like HR training from around the world submitted expressions of interest to train the security personnel required for this world event. HR training was given the opportunity to meet the Deputy Chief of Security and the Deputy Chief of Human Resources of BOCOG to outline it’s proposed plan to train Security personnel that would work at Olympic venues and also train Police Officers from the Beijing Central Police Bureau.

HR training went into this meeting with Sandy Hollway AO, who is well known for his role as CEO of SOCOG, the Sydney Organising Committee for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Sandy led over 120,000 people in delivering “the best Olympics ever” where HR training was responsible for training security Officers working at the Sydney Olympic Games.

It was an honour to have been selected to outline our proposal for this world event, but HR training were not selected – the BOCOG committee were looking for one organisation to handle all the security operations and HR training were not in a position to handle the requirements of the contract by itself, so withdrew its bid.
