Certificate III in Driving Operations – Agitator (TLI31210)
Course Description:
This qualification is for individuals who perform a range of known driving routine tasks and procedures within the transport and logistics industry. They work under supervision, taking some responsibility for work outcomes, but are given direction for the driving schedules they follow.
The six Licensing units to drive a commercial vehicle, light rigid, medium rigid, heavy rigid, heavy combination and multi-combination vehicle, can be trained by HR training, but we do not issue driving licences. For those who hold these licences we offer RPL for the units where the person satisfies their organisations standard driving practices. The licensing units within the qualification align with licensing and regulatory requirements applicable to driving and Australian state/ territory regulatory requirements.
Course Objectives:
On completion of the course participants will be able to:
- Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
- Carry out basic workplace calculations
- Interpret road maps and navigate pre-determined routes
- Carry out vehicle inspection & load and unload goods/cargo
- Operate a vehicle
- Use info-technology devices in the workplace
- Handle Dangerous Goods & Hazardous substances
- Identify and label explosives and dangerous goods
